[OOC] And you took mine with it. Not much time either--sorry it's so short. Think it's my shortest in a while.
[BIC] "Oh, but it's going to take some time for the boss to come since he has left for a meeting. But you wanna sit down?"
Slightly surprised, Heinrich slipped into the chair being offered to him, kicking out the spare one for Steve as he did so. In truth, he really didn't mind the boy's rudeness so much as his mistrust, and that was more worrisome than emotionally hurtful. Heinrich really didn't give a d.amn about how others viewed him unless they meant him harm, and in that case he dealt with such a situation as quickly as possible in one decisive move. Another leftover trait from his piloting days--preferably cripple and kill in one pass instead of two.
Though he was rarely one to start a conversation, Heinrich recognized a good opportunity to strike one up by the way Kora was looking expectantly up at him. Actually carrying out such an action, however, was a bit harder: he quickly ran through his options, coughed nervously, and finally came up with, "So...you do live around here, right?"
During the war, Heinrich knew he would have been taking full advantage of such a pretty girl's attention, but he just didn't care anymore. There really wasn't much to care about anymore, he had decided long ago. When everything and everyone you care about is either gone or lost to you perhaps forever, life is barely worth living unless you had something else to live for. That, Heinrich had found quickly enough, though sometimes he wished he hadn't. Sometimes flying again was a good dream, but he wasn't sure he could do it anymore. There was only one way to find out, of course, but the opportunity hadn't been presented to him.
Still, he thought as he eyed Kora surreptiously through long lashes, maybe a friend in a hard time wouldn't be too bad. The idea had occurred to him before, but it had always felt like doing so would mean betraying his old friends somehow, forgetting them. But was that right? Maybe. Maybe not.

OOC: It's ok. My is like muse.... Dead.... I have not been on a computer for so long. X.x Sorry.
Kora sat there for a moment as Hienrich sat down. She slowly took a sip of her drink and placed it on the marbel table. She stared up at Heinrich and slightly blushed. She quickly shook her head, shaking some lose hair in her face, trying to cover up her cheeks. She paused for a second as he asked her the question.
Oh. I don't sure if you know, but I'm live on the east side, with all the Socs..... My father is rich so we live over there... But I hate living there. So I hang out here, mostly lsleeping in the vacent lot. But my father is out of town.... So you can come over any time yu want. She said, her voice a little shaky.
She shook her head and glanced up at him. You have a home around here? If you don't you're welcomed to stay at my house if you would like. She said, trying to be as friendly as she could. She stared up at Steve and slightly glared at him. I wonder if Hienrich can fly a plane.... Kora thought, staring at Hienrich for a moment.
She then stuffed her hand in her right pocket and pulled out the piece of candy she had bought. She slwoly opened it and was about to take a bite out of it, but stopped, for she glanced up at Hienrich. She stared down at the cnady and that at Hienrich. She then spilt the candy in half and placed the toher half in Hienrich's hand. It's good, try it. SHe said, with a small grin.

[OOC] Sorry for the wait...camp doncha know...
[BIC] Heinrich listened carefully as Kora explained her situation to him, seeming slightly embarrassed by the idea of being rich. Well, it wasn't her fault if she didn't like her situation in life: one couldn't help the circumstances of one's birth. Personally, Heinrich would have preferred being born after the war in a country not having to do with it--being around these young teens, Steve and Kora, was making him feel ridiculously old. The girl couldn't have been older than sixteen, and Steve really didn't look much more than that either.
"You have a home around here? If you don't, you're welcome to stay at my house if you would like," she offered suddenly.
A bit taken aback by the generous statement, Heinrich smiled slightly. "No, I live near enough and I don't mind walking," he told her. "However, I thank you: it's very kind of you to offer. Perhaps I shall stop by some day."
Howevermuch the idea of getting to know someone intrigued him, the ex-pilot knew full well he would never make it to her side of town for two reasons: first, it was unlikely someone so shabby got into the higher end unnoticed (and, occasionally, in one piece) and simply because one of his social status simply did not. It was one of those countless unwritten laws one was forced to obey, and in this town one could run into enforcement by those other than the police. The gang that ruled that territory, the Socs, strongly disliked the idea of anyone remotely resembling what they considered a greaser--and an enemy--setting foot near their turf.
Kora, though...she was different, one who either scorned the idea of social hierarchy or thought of herself as a greaser by the rebellious way in which she refused to even sleep at home. The idea made Heinrich, as a veteran of the Winter War, grimace at the thought of sleeping outdoors anywhere when a roof over your head was an option. Too bad these kids never slept in a blizzard with nothing but the person huddled next to them for warmth--they might change their minds then.
The girl had clearly thought of something by the way she paused and smiled, and Heinrich's attention was called back to the conversation at hand. He watched as she took the chocolate bar she had just bought out of its wrapper and broke a piece off, dropping it casually in his hand. "It's good, try it," Kora urged, grinning at him.
Unused to such friendly behavior but by no means complaining about it, he bit into the candy and chewed reflectively, reveling in the taste of chocolate. God, how long had it been since he had last had a chocolate bar? Correction--how long had it been since he had last had the money to spend on one? Far too long, Heinrich decided, decisively popping the rest in his mouth and allowing it to melt in order to savor it better. In the early days of the war, most likely. They had used to include chocolate bars in survival kits, for goodness sake--the luxury of such a thing by the war's end had been completely unthinkable. One of the bonuses of living in America.
When he had reluctantly swallowed, he wiped his mouth on his sleeve and smiled, still feeling awkward wearing such an expression but attempting to overcome the feeling. "Thanks. I was just starting to feel hungry, too." He glanced around at the small space, wondering idly when the boss was going to return but not particularly worrying about it. "You come here often?"

Kora shifted her wieght to the side and glanced up at him. She rubbed her dark brown hair, her eyes staring into his. She grinned as Heinrich took the chocolate and savered it in his mouth. You can have some mroe if you would like. She said, a small laugh admitting from her lips. He looked like he hasn't had food for months, the way he ate. She cracked off another piece and gently placed it in his hand again. She looked at the bottom of the chocolate and took a large bite out of it. She grinned and shoved the wrapper off of the candy, she then put it in her pocket and ate the last of the small candy.
She gently licked her finger as dark chocolate stained her fingers. She quickly looked up as she heard a car drive up. She looked at nothing for a moment. Her moves, acting like a gaurd dog hearing a person on her terra. She turned her head around as she saw three boys, around 20 or 18 got out of the car. She looked at Heinrich as he spoke. Huh? I can buy you more. And yay. I come here alot. She said, quickly. She stood, her chair making a screiching(?) noise as she pushed back.
She walked over to Heinrich and grabbed his hand, her eyes locked on the boys. Come on, we haved to get out of here. She said, her eyes not moving from the boys. She quickly shoved Heinrich out of his seat and shoved him out of the door, even if he had to see if the boss was coming. Kora looked away from the boys as they stared at them. Kora looked at them and stared at the tallest boy,Chris. A a small smirk falling on her lips. You better have a good reason to be here, Chris. She thought, letting her lips admitt a small cuss.
She grabbed Heinrich hand and shoved him onto the side walk. Act like you don't know me. She whispered, her voice shakey and scared. She then left Heinrich and walked up to Chris and the other boys. Chris, why are you here?! She said, her voice filled with anger. He just grinned and grabbed her shoulder. Dad wants you and yay.... He said, his foot steps a little wobbly. Kora knew they where drunk and looking for a fight, that was why she shoved Heinrich out of the store. I DON'T CARE, DRUNK! She growled, her voice rising. He smirked and looked behind him at his friends.
He then looked back down at Kora and grabbed her by the neck. Let go, missy.... He muttered, his eyes locking onto hers. She quickly put her hands on his arm and closed her eyes in pain. Let go! I said I don't want to do! Leave me alone! She screamed, her eyes filled with tears. She had forgot that Heinrich was on the side walk not knowing what was happening. He slowly dragged her along to the red T-Bird car, his hands shoving her onto the car. She looked to her side at Heinrich, tears falling down her cheeks. Stop crying and get in the car! He yelled, his hand reaching for her. She slapped his hand and slowly wlaked to the car.
OOC: Kora is not 16. XP I changing it. I don't know why I need a 20 year old charrie with me. I have to many young ones and I can't change there age. And please kick there butts. XD Chris need s a butt whooping.

[OOC] Okay then...*sn.iggers evilly*
[BIC] The arrival of a car filled with three boys distracted Kora's attention, and she hurriedly grabbed his hand and dragged him out of the store, looking anxious. Heinrich, startled by the sudden change, blinked and stammered, "Wha--what's going on?"
She didn't answer his question, but instead hissed, "Act like you don't know me." Worried, Heinrich watched her head back into the garage and speak to one of the boys through the glass window. This didn't look good: all three of the boys were very clearly drunk by the way they were weaving around the room and by the careless tones of their voices that the dark-haired man could just pick out through the glass door, though their words were indistinguishable out here. Clearly, Kora was attempting to deal with them despite their intoxication, but when the lead boy she had been speaking to suddenly grabbed her viciously by the neck and shoved her towards the other exit Heinrich knew instantly she had failed and was now in possible danger. It was time to stop wondering as to what was happening and react. Quit circling and dive, that was it.
He barrelled into the shop, wrenching open the door and storming inside after them. Turning the corner just in time to see Kora slap away the lead boy's reaching arm, Heinrich darted forward and shoved the kid off balance before he could respond and hurt her. Feeling his face flushing with anger, the ex-aviator waited for him to get up as honor dictated despite the total lack of it in these idiots, balanced on his toes and ready to whip out the long fallschirmjager's knife tucked in a pocket at a moment's notice.
"Don't touch her, scum!" Heinrich snarled, spitting with disgust at the boy's feet. "Why don't you apologize to her before I'm forced to do something unpleasant?"

Kora looked at Heinrich as he stood there dumb founded(?). Chris walked up to her and was about to slap her hard on the side of the face when heinrich slammed into him. Kora stepped back surprised as he was knocked to the ground. She quickly turned her head to Heinrich. She grinned to force a grin, but it turned to a frown. Chris rubbed his back and shook his head in disbelief. He opened his eyes, locking onto Heinrich. He stood and stared at his friends behind him. They looked surprised and shocked. He reached behind him to them and whispered something to them. For a moment everything was silent. She lcoked onto his hand, wondering what he was getting behind him. She gasped when she remembered what ehr brother said to her. You tell you're will friend to f*ck off or I gonna kill them. Chris quickly flew his hand up, a heater(gun) held in his hand. Kora stood there, her face looked like one of her friend just had died, and if she didn't act fast Heinrich would be dead. CHRIS! STOP! DON'T! Kora yelled, her eyes filled with fear as Chris turned to her. He looked at her a moment before turning his hand to her. You know what? I tryed to help you but you just wouldn't listen would you? Know this what you deserve.... He muttered, her finger holding onto the gun. Chris, you gone to far.... I know you're drunk but stop! STOP! She thought, her mind racing around with scared thoughts. She closed her eyes as she heard the sound of the gun. Her side was throwen backwards as the impack of the bullet flew into her. She stumbled backwards trying to get her balance back. She opened her eyes and looked to her shoulder, there was a large hole, slowly blood trickled down. Chris hand trembled with a moment as he stared at Kora with disbelief. He lowered his hand and turned around to run. His two friends faces went white like a sheet and ran after Chris. She looked at Heinrich, her face going white and she slowly fell on the ground. A small puddled of blood formed around her shoulder as her body fell limp. Heinrich.....? Is he alright? Wait....? Am I dead? I can't die know.... Not intil I find where I belong....OOC: She's not dead.... There not much going on so I wanna make some action come.

[OOC] Oh, with pleasure.
[BIC] The flash of metal in the morning sunlight caught Heinrich's attention as the teenage boy lifted something into sight, making it difficult to make out what he was holding. Squinting, the ex-pilot recognized a pistol with horror--the kid was drunk and holding a gun! This had to stop: he had to be convinced to put it away before he got them all killed. It was easy enough for any drunkard to do, Heinrich knew all too well: he had seen it before. They wove around and shot up the place for fun, not caring if anyone was in their way and rarely able to be deterred and this guy actually wanted to shoot him. Double bad.
Slowly, Heinrich raised his hands, keeping them slightly in front of him defensively but lifting them high enough so the boy could see that he wasn't going to try anything and was well away from the knife in his pocket. The question was now if he would react to or understand the information now presented to him.
But the kid was no longer listening to him--he was turning to Kora, keeping the muzzle of the gun trained on his captive's midriff. The girl, who looked absolutely terrified, nonetheless yelled bravely, "Chris! Stop! Don't!"
Behind the drunk boy, Heinrich shook his head furiously at her, glaring. Yelling at him or protesting was no way to negotiate, and if he could just have a few seconds it was possible that he would be able to either convince the kid to put the gun away or disarm him. Without warning, the gun flicked to Kora, and the boy said in a slurred voice that was nonetheless cold and unfeeling, "You know what? I tried to help you, but you just wouldn't listen, would you? Now this is what you deserve...."
The shot rang out, sharp and clear in the morning air, and Kora dropped bleeding to the pavement. The three boys ran.
Heinrich did as he had always done in a combat situation despite a six-year reprieve, assessing everything in a single instant and acting just as quickly. Slipping the long knife used by German paratroopers from his pocket, he balanced it by the blade as Fritz had taught him years ago and hurled it with all his strength after the shooter, who Kora had called Chris. His aim was true: the razor-sharp weapon caught the boy in the shoulder and brought him down. While the other two sprinted off like scared rabbits, Heinrich bounded over to the fallen boy, wrenched the knife from his back, and flipped him over, snatching the gun from his loosened grip first and checking his vitals second. He would live if he stopped the bleeding--however, in his cold hatred Heinrich found he didn't really care. This one was better dead than alive, but this wasn't war anymore. Official war, at least, and that was the only one where killing could be called legal.
After wiping his blade on Chris's pants and resheathing it, Heinrich hurried back to Kora and knelt beside her, lifting her gently off the sidewalk and shaking his head at the spot of blood already forming beneath her shoulder and pooling far too quickly for his liking. A sudden feeling of panic grasped him--he had no car, no way of quickly getting her to the hospital. He could take her home, maybe, but although the bullet wasn't lodged in her shoulder but the edge of the sidewalk he knew very little about doctoring and couldn't talk proper care of her.
"Scheiss," he swore in German, no longer caring if she heard. He wasn't even sure she could hear him anyway. Shaking her urgently, he tipped her head forward to meet her gaze. "Can you hear me?" he demanded. "Come on, talk to me. We need to get you to the hospital, understand?"

Very thing was dark and blurry as Kora maneged to open her eyes. Her hands started to tremble as she heard a cold scream. Ah, you bstard! The voice yelled, it was cold and mean. She clenched her teeth together and listened to the yelling boy. Chris took feel the knife driving into his cold flesh, making him fall flat on his face. He clenched his teeth together and cloth his eyes in pain. Kora closed her eyes in sorrow and layed her hand on the ground so it would stop trembling. She could feel the cold wind blow through her cloth, she knew winter was here. Chris opened his eyes and stared at the bloody ground.
Chris lifted his head and closed his pools in pain as he could feel Heinrich pulling the knife out of his shoulder. He let his head fall on the ground and sighed in sorrow. He placed his hand on his shoulder and let his eye lids fall over his eyes. Kora could only hear a loud buzzing sound in her ears, witch annoyed her. She could feel someone turning her over and gently lifting her up. She hear the faint words of Heinrich. She tryed to open her eyes but it was hard and she just made her hurt even more. She finely fluttered her eyes open, staring up at Heinrich. Her eyes filled with sorrow and hurt. SHe opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. She finely maneged to speak, Don't waste you're time..... It's.... Useless.... I'm just going..... To die...... She said, her words filled with sadness.
She didn't want to die and it hurt her even more that she had said that. Chris gazed up at the bright sky and for a few moments. He then stumbled to his feet and looked towards Heinrich and Kora. He placed his hand on his shoulder and stuffed his other hand in his poockets, searching for something. He walked towards them still searching. He stopped a few feet away from them and then finely pulled out a small key. He throw it at Heinrcih hoping he know what he was doing. I parked out side of the store.... He muttered, his voice held no tone, it was but blank. He then turned around and started down the sidewalk, back to his house. He knew it was on trhe east side and it very far away but he didn't care.
OOC: I need to make a bio for him.... ._.
